Osprey Men-at-Arms 25 : The Royal Artillery
In May 1716 a permanent regiment of artillery, albeit of only two companies, was introduced into the British Army. This was the first step in the formation of the Royal Artillery, whose units have featured in so many battles that their battle colours simply read 'Ubique' - Everywhere. Text by W.Y. Carman with full page colour plates by Michael Roffe.
