Osprey Modelling 1 : Modelling the Harrier I and II
In over 30 years of service, the Harrier has seen significant combat action for the British Royal Navy and the USMC. The Harrier seen service and played a key role in campaigns from the Falklands, Bosnia and Kosovo, the First Gulf War and Afghanistan. A popular and instantly recognizable aircraft, the world's first Vertical Standing Take-Off and Landing (VSTOL) aircraft provides a challenge for the modeller. This book covers modelling the Harrier across a variety of scales, from the early version P.1127 through to later models such as the GR.7. Aspects such as weathering, the use of resin and photo-etched parts, conversions and displays combine to create a packed and informative modelling guide for the Harrier. Text by Glenn Ashley.
