The Tornado F-3 has equipped the Royal Air Force's Fighter squadrons for almost a decade, and in that time it has performed its interceptor tasks in some of the most demanding theatres across the globe. Operation Granby, the Falklands, Red Flag and myriad other exercises have tested the aircraft's mettle, and the author has flown and fought the jet in all of these arenas.
